Matamata Racing Club's Lounges for Hire:

NB Hours: Functions must close at 12 am and all guests off the premises by 12.30 am. Security will be on course to ensure that this happens.
Liquor Licence: The Club does not hold a licence other than for racedays - if selling liquor a Special Licence is required and will need an application completed and sent to Matamata Piako District Council allowing at least 20 working days. The Club will provide a letter for support of the licence when requested.
Bookings: All bookings are to be approved in advance by the Club’s Committee at the monthly Committee meetings. Bookings must be paid for in full once approved prior to the function with a separate returnable $500.00 bond. An invoice for the bond will be issued once accepted and confirmed.
Responsibility: The person or organisation booking the function is responsible for charges and other obligations with the conditions of hire. It is the Hirer’s responsibility that all guests remain in the designated lounge areas only.
Breakages or Damage to MRC Property: These will be at the cost of the Hirer.
Cleaning: If you choose to clean the lounge and leave the lounge exactly the way it was found it will involve no further cleaning cost. If you choose to pay for the cleaning (see cost below) we expect the lounge or surrounding area to be left as found on arrival. All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided. Please ensure any broken glass is cleared and safely disposed of.
Cleaning Cost: $25-100.00 depending on time needed to clean the lounge.
NB. The Club expect bottles and rubbish to be picked up outside of the lounge in the surrounding areas. Horses are the number one priority on the racecourse and must not be put in any danger.
