Fashions in the Field is returning to J Swap Contractors Ltd Matamata Breeders' Stakes (15 Feb) and we're thrilled to share our judging panel with you. 

Welcome...

Siobhan Wilson

As General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Marisco Vineyards and overall sponsor of The Ned Prix de Fashion, Siobhan has attended numerous fashion events all over the country and loves to see the finesse and style that so many of the contestants put into their outfits.  Racewear to Siobhan is just so glamorous - and stylish - and it really gives men and women the opportunity to dress up - something these days, is sadly not very common.  She's excited and honoured to join the judging panel at the J Swap Contractors Matamata Breeders' Stakes this year and key things she'll be looking for are coordination, originality, sophistication and style.  She hopes to see lots of new contestants this year and encourages many ladies and gentlemen to enter!

Bridgette O’Sullivan

Matamata local and racegoer extraordinaire, Bridgette O’Sullivan is no stranger to racing or fashion. A member of the iconic racing family, the O’Sullivan’s, Bridgette was also Ellerslie Racecourse’s first-ever fashion ambassador.  A regular competitor in Fashions in the Field in her own right in the past, she’s since made the jump to fashion judge with her usual aplomb. Regardless of the occasion, Bridgette is always a stylish addition to any room and is the founder of stunning local venue, The Red Barn. It’s our pleasure to welcome such a fashionista (and avid racing fan!) to the panel. 

Brett Holmes

Brett Holmes is a regular on the Matamata Racing Club Fashions in the Field judging panel and an award-winning hair dresser to boot! Brett Holmes owns The Salon and is a household hairdressing name in Tauranga. He is a national expert in long hair and has held the illustrious title of "long hair ambassador and coiffure" for Schwarzkopf Professional in New Zealand four times.  He’ll bring a focus on overall turnout and finishing touches to the panel and we are excited to have him back.
