On the plough, Tristar (Loki) had pace on throughout 1000m, cutting out the distance in 1:03.2 and finishing off over the last 600m in 36.5. The O’Sullivan/Scott-trained mare has run well at her last two starts at Te Rapa and returns there on Saturday with genuine winning prospects.

Bradley appears to have trained on well from his last-start second, while Koneko steps up to a middle-distance at Tauranga on Friday after a promising debut fifth over 1600m.
Viva Glam (Melvin) and Presence Of Mind (Ahmed) prepared for Te Rapa with sharp over 800m in 52.1 and 600m in 36.4, while Little Bit Of Love (L Singh) and General Minari (P Singh) weren’t as quick but still impressed over 1000m in 1:05 and 37.1.

Over ground Richter Scale (Nishizuka) was kept to 1200m in 1:27.9, 1:10.5 and 39.8, followed by Night Signal (Rastrick) in 1:26.4, 1:09.8 and 39.2. Part Time Lover (Clapperton) was not extended over 1000m in 1:09.7 and 41.4, while Poise (Sherwood) returned 1:07.2 and 38.8.
